NCDBS 2011 Turlock Event

NCDBS Northern California Dodge Brothers and Sisters is a group of people who love and own vintage Dodge Brothers and Graham Brothers vehicles. Our group is located in Northern California. We promote Dodge Brothers vehicles and Grahman Brothers trucks in our everday life. The Turlock Swap Meet was held on January 29 and 30th of 2011. This past year we lost Leonard Needham. Leonard was one of the "founders" of the Northern California Dodge Brothers and Sisters Region and was a regular contributor to all of our tours, meets and rally's. Leonard who was the proud owner of a 1918 Screenside until he sold it in 2009 and Leonard will be missed.
It was a cold damp foggy day during the opening of the 2011 Turlock Swap Meet. The Northern California Dodge Brothers and Sisters Region had its information booth open for business as the patrons began to stream into the Swap Meet. Over the course of the day, over 100 inquiries were responded to. We handed out numerous Application Forms for the Dodge Brothers National club and the NCDBS Region. Many of the questions were regarding of the 1960's era Dodge MOPAR products. The NCDBS Region provided a typed reference list of vendors and the internet website for the WPC Club for those individuals. One of the attractions which drew many people towards the booth was the 1917 Touring car which was on display. Once seeing the car and asking pointed questions regarding the car, almost all were motivated to seek additional information regarding restoration and networking. This was provided by the data and information which was freely given out by the members of the NCDBS. Although the weather was cold and clammy, the NCDBS provided warm hearted interface. On Sunday, the Turlock area suffered relentless rain putting a damper on the entire swap meet. However, a good time was had by all and the NCDBS did provide a much needed service to those Dodge Brothers who were aimlessly lost.
