NCDBS Northern California Dodge Brothers and Sisters is a group of
people who love and own vintage Dodge Brothers and Graham Brothers vehicles.
Our group is located in Northern California. We promote Dodge Brothers vehicles and Grahman Brothers trucks in our everday life.
The Sonora Round-up Parade was held the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend. So for anyone who is calendar-challenged - this means that the parade was on May 8, 2010. For some of us who live a little distance away from Sonora, we began at about 4:00 a.m. in the morning and arrived at the Marinovich mansion at 7:00 ready for a wake up breakfast burrito to get us going. Again as in the past, Sherrin Grout had prepared sausage and eggs and beans ready for tortilla shells. In addition there were all the fixings to add to the burrito - like tomatoes, salsa, cheese and more. Sherrin also had nutrious fruit for all of the health nuts. But most of us felt that we would not indulge in things that might be good for our bodies and stuck to the enormous burrito we could build. After breakfast the group headed on down to Sonora from Columbia and the JS West Hardware store for staging. We had Jim and Louise Kirk driving a 1962 Power wagon, Kevin and Megan Kroon in a 1935 KC pickup, Steve Gray in a 1935 flathead V8 Ford pickup, Herman and Barbara Boone in a 1933 Baby Blue sedan, Tom and Elaine Gong in their 1930 straight 8 rumble seat coupe, Roger and Lynne Gong (with daughter Leah and Tyson) in their 1925 Screenside and finally Donn Marinovich in his award winning 1923 Screenside truck.

The interesting part of this entire parade was that the Northern California Dodge Brothers and Sisters Group[/Region was the last entry in the entire Parade of 171 entries. By some weird case of coincidences the entry failed to get to the committee by the alloted date and the NCDBS was assigned somewhat late into the parade route. We did get to see most of the parade go by this year. By the time the NCDBS contingent rolled up Washington Street, the attendees who had watched some 3 hours of parade pass by them were thinned out or were in the process of folding there chairs away and heading home. However as true NCDBS troopers the group sucked it up and ran a great parade! Kudo's to all the the participants in this Parade!!!

Due to the early departure from the Bay Area to the Columbia environs, a couple of well charged Nikon cameras were left at home. We are sorry that several vehicles and participants were not photographed for publication in this website. However, we do acknowledge the presence of Steve Gray and his 1935 flat head V-8 Ford pickup, the Boone's 1935 KC pickup driven by Kevan and Megan Kroon and Jim and Louise Kirk for driving the wonderful 1962 Power Wagon. Again, thank you all for participating in this parade.
Also, the website would like to acknowledge Sherrin Grout who for the umteenth times (not the 51 times of this Parade) has not been a participant in the parade, but stayed in Columbia preparing a great lunch for those of us who did run the parade. So thank you to all.
