Keizer Meet
It was a great Dodge Brothers meet with plenty of activity to keep anyone happy. The tours were great and the provided food was great. The variation we saw was extended from an interpretive aquarium to an old fashioned "steam up" with tractors about 100 years old. These steam driven machines were demonstrated thrashing grain in an actual separator. Wheat bindles going in, wheat coming out and chaff spewing out the exit side. A great time was had by all.

Trailers
Trailers are confusing beasts. When you have a 7 pin connector coming out of your car and a die cast zinc 6 pin connector on the trailer, it does become a challenge to get the ground, electric brake, tail lights, turn signals and normal brake lights to work like they are supposed to.

Readiness
Have been editing the website to keep it current. The days are quickly approaching and soon we will be headed north to Keizer. Will be trailering the Screenside up to Oregon beginning early next week. After we leave for Keizer, there will be little input to the website - although I may keep a count down until it starts.

4th of July Parade
It was a bit cooler this year for the parade. The Nor Cal Dodge Bros and Sisters group was entry number 140. We waited until the last part of the parade before we entered the parade route. The only mis-hap we had was about 2/3rds of the way through the parade route, Travis Barham's 24 touring car began to backfire. A quick tow by Tom Barham got the '24 back up and running. The '25 Screenside ran pretty cool during the parade. It sounded good and had great oil pressure. This is a tough parade, since most of the route is stop and go, with stops every car length or so.

'25 Screen side
| The 1925 Screenside had to have a few repairs to it. The basic symptom was that at the end of the Petaluma Promendade Tour it developed a low engine knock. It was not pumping oil nor water through the block. The oil pump gear had to be replaced and the water pump impeller was changed. After the oil pan was dropped, the main bearings were tighten up and in combination this stopped the engine knock.

Thursday thoughts
Well here it is, June 28th and we are preparing for the 4th of July parade in Danville, CA. If the weather in the past two days is an indication of what is to come - it will be a scorcher on the 4th. We will round up the '25 Screenside and take it to Richmond on the 3rd, then trailer it over to Alamo the morning of the 4th. Keep watching this blog for further actions.

Getting Hot
| The annual 4th of July parade staged in Danville looks to be hotter than past years. Even though the parade has an hour earlier starting time It looks to be hot, hot, HOT. Bring plenty of liquid to keep hydrated and dress accordingly. I'll see everyone at the Stadelhofer's at 7:30 a.m. on the 4th.
